The space

Private studio with a full size bed, full kitchen, sitting area, and bathroom. Books, games and local recommendations are provided.

The studio is freestanding, ground level with one step up into the bathroom. The main house is behind the hill - ensuring full privacy.

This space was designed to be very relaxing, a place to reconnect and unwind from the daily grind. In order to facilitate this, the Casita does not include internet.

We are 8 minutes to Bayfield or Ignacio. 10 minutes to the airport. 20 minutes to Durango. 30 minutes to Vallecito Lake. 50 minutes to Pagosa Springs.

Guest access

You will have access to the Casita and a parking spot.

The barn and animal pens are off limits for safety, but if you would like to check it out, please ask!

Please do not feed the animals in the pasture! They can get very sick.

Other things to note

This is a working ranch!
We have lots of critters – Dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, geese, alpacas, frogs, foxes, bugs & sometimes mice. We can have dust and even have some mud! While we try to keep everything in check, but please be prepared!

We love dogs! Unfortunately – NO pets allowed. We have working dogs whose job it is to protect their family and property.
(We also have family members that are allergic to dogs use this space frequently.)

Absolutely NO SMOKING or FIRES anywhere on the property. EVER. We are in a high drought area with an extreme fire potential.

We will be out and about caring for the animals and property. We do not start at the crack of dawn, but you may hear us around.

Note: We do have security cameras at the barn and cabin adjacent to the casita pointed at the barn. These are NOT pointed on the Casita.
